The National Animal Identification and Tracing scheme is in the process of being improved by the Coalition Government. New Zealand First is passionate about strengthening New Zealand’s animal tracing system, which safeguards our nation’s farming livelihoods.
The weaknesses of the system have been highlighted by both the NAIT review and the response to the Mycoplasma bovis incursion. We need NAIT to be a world-class, robust system to ensure the foundations of our primary industries are protected.
With just a month before submissions close, now is the time for everyone who uses NAIT, and has not yet submitted, to have their say.
You can make your submission by downloading and filling out the submissions template provided below.
Submissions close on the 19th of December.
