New Zealand’s Economic Refugees

Last year we warned that many New Zealanders were becoming economic refugees in their own country. Well this continues to happen at an ever increasing rate.

The Government’s moves to dictate where we live not only ignores the potential of employment outside our major cities but also is an exercise in social manipulation.

The policies of this Labour led government to create limited employment locations further attacks beneficiaries who move to rural areas and creates ghettos in our own backyard.

The minister of social manipulation labelled this madcap idea “Job Jolt”. Well what a jolt! It has cost us taxpayers over $400,000 to get four (4) people into work.

When is this government going to learn that progress in education, housing, health and employment rely on innovative economic development programmes and will not be solved by the manipulative schemes of cloistered boffins posing as ministers?

While this government attempts to conceal the true impact of its failed economic policies over one million New Zealanders rely on a community services card. Seventy percent receive less than the ‘average’ wage. Over 400,000 receive income support while 162,000 of our young and most talented are operating on student loans.

This government’s social policies fail to encourage independence and along with its social engineering agenda Labour is creating an alien culture in our midst. Had enough?

Rather than consult and engage the public on social issues, it has chosen to do them in a “we know best” way - with no consultation.

There was a time when the value of experience in society was respected and sought after but sadly, for too long now sound advice from ordinary people on social issues has been ignored. From gay marriages, through to legalising prostitution and open door immigration, the very threads of our social fabric are under threat.

Who is creating the demand for this politically correct nonsense? Only those in the ranks of the Government know the answer. Most people are bewildered by the actions of politicians who care more about perversion than progress for the people.

New Zealand First stands for traditional values and a society which cares - not one which corrupts!
